Fashion VS Sport

Sports and fashion are not as foreign to each other as they seem to be. A recent trend that’s been spotted is the involvement of fashion designers in the sports world and the creation of fashionable and chic sportswear. Stella McCartney for adidas, CHANEL fishing sets and ‘Variations on Sport’ by Vogue Italia are just a few examples of the increasing proximity between the sports arena and the fashion world. The display at the Victoria & Albert Museum strives to explore the relationship between the two worlds and how sporty ensembles have been incorporated into couture and everyday fashions. Versace running shoes and Prada tennis racquets are probably up next..
