Pixelated Couch - The New Retro?
by: Taly Weiss July 30, 2008![]()
Retro is no longer defined as 70’s bell-bottoms and 60’s mod. Today, a new form of retro can be found in digital nostalgia. Due to high-resolution advanced technology, pixels that are visible to the naked eye are a thing of the past, which makes them a perfect symbol of retro to be incorporated into various designs. This concept is beautifully exemplified by Cristian Zuzunaga, who developed pixelated fabric, now being used to create a unique couch.
I can’t wait to see where these funky pixels will show up next.
