Environmental clubbing is the insanely fun, eco disco solution we’ve all been waiting for. Coined ‘club4climate’, the project was created in order to increase eco awareness and to start providing real, enjoyable and practical solutions that can improve our lifestyle, mind frame and most importantly, our environment. Andrew Charalambous, AKA ‘Dr. Earth’, is the genius behind club4climate. He aims to incorporate global and climate change by directing people towards actions instead of just preaching. The climate4club now in Britain does this simply by “making clubbers happy in the knowledge that their organic beverage-induced booty shaking can generate 60% of the energy needed to run the club.”

The Piezoelectric dance floor installed in the club uses quartz crystals and ceramics to transform the clubbers’ dancing and raving into electricity. Another incredible aspect of this project that encourages eco-friendly behaviour is the 10 point manifesto clubbers need to sign before their entry, which states amongst many other things that ‘Clubbing is a spiritual act.’ Free entry is also granted to any clubber that can prove he/she walked or used a bicycle to get to the club.
Talk about making a change. This innovation triggers not only physical sensations and lots of party energies, but can alter our minds and souls so that we can begin doing what’s right for the world we inhabit.
