Eco-leather clutches and purses. This is the trend I’ve been waiting for. The klingbags, created by New Yorker Natasha Kimling Kwan, are stunningly designed handbags made out of eco-friendly materials that strongly resemble kid leather and lambskin. The uniqueness of the product lies in the fact that they are PVC free and “made of the most luxurious polyurethane based leather alternative fabric that is void of plasticizers, heavy metals and other toxins.” Natasha decided to use only these environmentally friendly materials after discovering that chemicals used during the leather tanning process have been found in the tissue of breast cancer patients. Also, since Natasha’s fabrics are PVC free, “you don’t get the nastiness associated with faux leathers. The fabric is breathable so you’re not going to get sweaty holding or carrying a Kling.”

The designs are absolutely chic and each handbag has a different interior design and three interior pockets, as it was important for her to incorporate functionality into her fashions. I personally am inspired and grateful for designers that try to make this world not only a prettier place, but a better one. Trend ahoy!
