Hop into Japanese interactive ads
by: Taly Weiss April 2, 2008![]()
Japanese adverts have taken the consumer experience to a whole new level. Devised by a French company called LM3 Labs, Catchyoo is a new projection system that allows consumers to interact with the advertisement.
Much like the iPhone’s touch screen the technology works like this: Ads are projected onto any flat surface (walls, floors) and consumers can ‘hop in’ and interact with the ad. For example, passerbys can ’sweep away’ animated leaves with their hands or feet or ’step on’ animated moles. You can even dip your feet into the ‘pool’ and create some ripples in the ad. Now that’s what I call targeting consumers-who could resist?
