Muslim fashion makeover

There’s a group of Dutch muslim girls who decided it was time to give their jilbabs, abayas, kaftans and khalejis a new look- they launched MSLM fashion magazine and exhibition where traditional muslim dress items are designed to stick to the modesty guidelines while also being chic, bold, shiny and cool.

Yes, cool. With the growing awareness of today’s Islamic Woman, this is just another step towards combining maintenance of faith and tradition with advancing in the modern world, where maybe someday, headscarves will also be funky. You go, girls!
